The VCT Pacific Kickoff event marks the grand return of Valorant esports and the Valorant Champions Tour to Asia, beginning on February 17. Eleven partnered teams will be battling for the three coveted championship points and two spots at VCT Masters Madrid, which will be held at the end of March.

Defending VCT Pacific league champions Paper Rex will be looking to re-establish themselves as top dogs this year, but with an all-new format and a fresh team on the block, there's everything to play for!

VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024: Format

The VCT 2024 Kickoff events are held across all four international VCT regions (Americas, EMEA, China, and Pacific) and mark the beginning of the first split in the Valorant Champions Tour esports calendar before VCT Masters Madrid in March.

The VCT Pacific 2024 Kickoff event has a unique format, with three distinct stages outlined below:

Group Stage

  • There will be three double-elimination format groups consisting of four teams, except Group C, the smallest group, which is composed of three teams. This includes the highest-placing team (Paper Rex) from Champions 2023, who also receive a bye into Group C's Winners Round.
  • All matches are Bo3.
  • The first-place team from each group advances to the Playoff Stage, while the second-place teams advance to the Play-In Stage.
  • The remaining teams are eliminated.

Play-In Stage

  • There will be a three-team round-robin group format
  • All Play-In matches are Bo3.
  • The winning team advances to the Playoff Stage.

Playoffs

  • Four teams compete in a single-elimination bracket.
  • Semifinals are Bo3, while the Grand Final is Bo5.
  • The top team gets three championship points and automatic qualification to VCT Masters Madrid alongside the second-place team.
